Architects are taught to understand urbanism and recognise areas with development potential. Architect developers are more likely to design more innovative and creative solutions, and they better understand the risks associated with obtaining planning approval which gives us an advantage over non architect developers. All our buildings are designed with the maximum care and empathy for our customers and the public.

The word architect derives from the Greek meaning master builder, not simply lead design consultant. It is therefore appropriate that architects should lead both the design and the development with their unique skill set.

As designer and developer roles are combined, we can make sure no corners are cut in the specification and quality of materials used. For example, we never use flammable cladding on any height of building which means you will never be faced with sub standard cladding problems on an Ecocity home.
