We just need to catch an extremely tiny amount of it to power all of civilisation. 43,000 sq km (335x335km) would provide enough continuous power (17.4 Terawatts) for all Earth’s needs. This is 1.2% of the Sahara Desert. Solar is the ideal low cost reliable and predictable power source for our buildings coupled with batteries.
